We don't buy from local auctions here in New Zealand- after all, this is where the trade dispose of unwanted and problematic vehicles. We don't use Japanese export agencies holding large numbers of stock for sale to New Zealand dealers at marked-up prices and a lack of primary Japanese auction information. We don't buy off the Internet sight unseen, nor faxed lists nor local wholesalers to the trade. • Personally selected by Nick from auction in Japan. Only by choosing your own stock can you be assured of the right quality in New Zealand.

• Odometer removed, inspected and verified by Speedocheck (Optimech International) in Japan prior to export. Optimech are one of the signatories of the New Zealand Odometer Certifier's "Code Of Practice" which enforces the inspection procedure and methods including the removal in every case of the instrument cluster to facilitate proper inspection. In our opinion, an external visual inspection and Japanese auction database record check is not sufficient to guarantee an odometer is free from tampering- please be aware that not every inspection company follows the "Code Of Practice" procedure. With every Croydon Direct Import we provide a written Certificate which you keep with the vehicle, to add value to resale when replacement time comes.

• AA Appraised 60-point written inspection (including a test-drive) with every vehicle. We take the guesswork out of choosing your next vehicle by having the AA perform a 60-point inspection on every Croydon Direct Import prior to sale. This inspection covers all the major vehicle functions and includes a short test-drive, with a written report provided and placed into the glovebox for you to view. Should you wish to have your own inspection conducted prior to purchase, we are more than happy to help arrange this or have the vehicle made available for another inspector.

• Every Croydon Direct Import serviced and groomed before sale and delivery. Servicing your vehicle is the cheapest mechanic you can buy- so the saying goes. At Croydons, we service every Direct Import in our own workshop, plus have each vehicle professionally groomed and detailed for you.

• All on-road costs are included in the purchase price. Why pay more on top of your purchase price for so-called "on road costs"? It never ceases to amaze us that other dealers can ask you to pay for something that should be with the vehicle in the first place- after all, it's not as if you can drive the car away without registration plates! Even more surprising is that the majority of new-car distributors still add "on-road costs" to the price of your new vehicle. Hang on- didn't I just pay $33,000 for a new car, and now you're asking me for more to get it on the road? • -New Warrant of Fitness from VTNZ (Vehicle Testing New Zealand) or Waitakere City Testing Station.

We use the Testing Station or VTNZ for all Warrant of Fitness inspections. They are independent and fair- no workshop inspecting their own vehicles here at Croydons!
